I leave the choice down to my cham, if he wants to walk onto my hand then fine, if he doesnt he makes it obvious and theres no point forcing him. I dont really handle my cham buy i am trying to get him more tolerant of me so when i need to move him he wont get too stressed.
my young veiled used to cower away but i have been hand feeding half his feeders and half in his cup for the past month and now i can place my hands near him and even temp him onto my hand with a worm or two, although he sometimes gets a bit hissy when he realises hes been tricked onto my...
dense planting
is it preferable to have dense planting like that for pygmies? I was told that its good to have a clear space so they can find food and lay eggs easier. My pygmy enclosure looks quite sparse compared to that, should i be adding more foliage?
it would have been but for pic 5 where the baby males look so different from each other :D.
Im pretty sure that i have a male and female, last night my male turned all yellow and black stripes and tried to mount the other who was having none of it.
I use willow branches which my GF buys for weaving etc. they are thick at the bottom and thin at the end so you get a good range of widths, flexible and surprisingly strong. Im not sure if they will take a mellors weight or even a large veiled but for now they work for me.

to attach the branches i use a tiny drill bit to make a small hole and thread some fine wire through and tie them, i also use...
So Doc, my young veiled, was starting to look like he was ready for a new home. After a few weeks wait and a nightmare episode with a supplier and courier company, i finally got everything (apart from the dripper) :D
exo terra hood is pretty sweet but the fan makes a bit of a racket.
you should be aiming for around 40-50% humidity throughout the day with higher spikes when you mist. try not to mist as much as too much moisture can be just as bad as too little.
I know you have already stated that you have removed the bamboo but dont be tempted to put it back in as if its lucky bamboo then its quite harmful to your cham, It may be worth mentioning to the vet that you had this plant in its enclosure?
