i agree with you-not all rescues are for everyone. And i understand. some people just don't have it, don't have the time. I most certainly have examples of trouble with rescues.
Sully, my shih tzu, is blind in one eye, has hip displasia, serious issues with being touched around the face...
I think he is dying-what can i do?
He is a bearded pygmy cham. He is so weak now, he can't support himself, and he often falls onto his side. how can i help him? is there any hope? if not, how can i make him comfortable?
:(:(:(:confused::confused::(:(
Thanks ferret. Unfortunately i don't think he is going to make it. i just checked up on him and he was on his side, barely breathing. my other three are ok, they are two females and another male (in a separate tank).
my d3 powder has vitamins in it, it is specifically made for chams. he is worse. his eyes are sunken, he is obviously dehydrated, he is a dark brown, almost black. is there anything i can do to save him????
* Your Chameleon - male pygmy chameleon, unknown age, in care for 4 months

so sorry for your losses. but just remember, you gave them a comfterable loving home for the last few weeks of their life. They could have died in one of those deli cups, alone and uncared for.
i had something like this happen to me. I woke up, checked on my lil guys and found one on the bottom of the cage, not moving. I picked him up, nothing. Put him back in the cage and went to get my mom. came back in the room two or three minuites latter, the bugger was up and moving!
all of my guys came from pretty rough situations.
Walter- male cat, we got him at 4 weeks old, he'd been dumped at the side of the road
Maddie- female cat, came from a rescue, only surviving kitten, the mom had been beaten to death
Chewpie- female cat, born a stray
Lucky- mini horse...
Just about all of my pets are rescues. My 3 cats, 1 horse, 1 donkey, my 2 dogs are all rescues. Only ones that aren't rescues are my fish and chameleons.
no roaches did not eat my pygmies!!! im trying to say that the roaches are proably bigger than my lil guys. I too will not permit roaches in the house.
i understand that. I wasn't expecting to win:) it was only my first time entering. i just would like to know so that i can know what to do better next time.
Congrats! pygmies are so much fun! Your set up, what i can see of it, looks good. I am a student too so I understand about the money- what are you studying? I'm a nursing student :)
also, being a student, do you have someone to mist them while you are at school? If not you should look into a...
