Hey, as long as your husbandry is up to snuff, just enjoy it. I wish my chameleon was like that. A woman named Ginger Scott, who runs house of chameleons, is like a chameleon charmer and almost all of hers do that too. You can find her on facebook.
If I could, I would get me a female from the George line and start breeding. I'd probably buy panther company out of everything they have, just because all of their chams are so awesome. But, mommy says two chams. And since I'm only 15, I can't move out just yet. Maybe after college...probably...
I can't say for sure, because of the angle of the pics, but I'm saying female. Can you get a pic from the side of her with her tail straight out? I was there too, who did you get it from?
When they're young like that, you should be giving them as much as they will take. Some people give them as much as they can eat in 5 minutes, two times a day.
This is my new Nosy Mitsio, from Kush lines @ Panther Company. I'm so excited! He's going to be shipped two weeks from now, as I'm going on vacation and I want to be there the entire time he is settling in. Not sure what to name him, but I'm thinking of calling him Oliver Queen, in honor of my...
You don't want to use multivitamins every feeding. Just plain calcium. Multivitamin should be twice a month. I'm glad to hear he's improving, I know how stressful it can be to have an ailing cham.
My boy loves crickets. And I mean loves em. He isn't excited more by anything else except maybe something that can fly. He also likes silkworms. I can't seem to get him into hornworms, he will only eat one or none when I try. I think he also might be scared of them because they're bright.
Totally normal for them to start getting ready for bed an hour or so before lights out. Mine puts a lot of thought into where he wants to sleep, whether it's half of his body hanging on a screen, fully stretched out on a branch, or curled up in one of his plants, he's usually in whatever...
Chameleons are not very forgiving of husbandry mistakes. With that said, the husbandry for a chameleon is pretty complicated and someone not already familiar with the basics of taking care of a reptile is probably not suited to have a chameleon yet. They require very specific care, and they...
Oustalet definitely looks french. I don't think it's ew, with the strong kind of Y sound, but more like ooo, like when people go ooo, ahhh at fireworks.
I use lindasgonebuggie.com for all my worms, she is really great, has great customer service and is very reachable if you need to change your order or make specifications. For crickets I just get them at the local pet store (not a big corporate one, it's one that's family owned they have four...
