    Possibly ate bark?

Generally a lot of organic soils have coconut fiber and bark in the mixture. I have covered my plants as well(large smooth river rocks), but every now and again my panther will move those rocks around an snag a piece of bark. I would be more worried about the coconut fiber than the bark, as it...

    Who uses Vit-All?

I use it as a (dry)gut load as well, have had success with it too(the crickets eat it up). Put two trays of it in my cricket bin and then add some chopped/diced fruits/veggies in two other separate containers for variety.

Any tips on keeping crickets quiet?

My crickets always hide in the same spot(on top of a log/branch at the top of the cage). If one doesn't get eaten and starts chirping at night, I spray a little water where they hide(not enough to mist the whole cage, just enough to get the cricket). That usually works......for a few hours. lol

I have noticed that the local petsmart has worse housing setups than the local petco.....but they are both sub-standard for some of the reptiles they are attempting to keep/sell.

We are infested with copperhead snakes...help!

Even though they are poisonous, copperheads are not known to be very aggressive and their bit is rarely fatal. The problem is they blend in to the ground coverage pretty well and most bites are from almost stepping on one. You have to watch where you walk and always carry a flashlight at night...
