you should have two day bulbs. one for basking(any standard bulb that creates an appropriate heat range) and one for UVA and more importantly UVB rays. Most use the reptisun 5.0 or 10.0 for UV rays, but the arcadia lights also come very highly recommended. You don't need a night light.

MY brother and sister in law said they really enjoyed it(neither are huge trekkies). I enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch in the Sherlock series(anxiously waiting series 3) and think he will do a good job in this as well.

I use a 65 watt grow light I got from Lowes for about $8.00. Works great in the brooder clamp light enclosures.

Just got a sambava from ataraxia, Sire was The Incredible Hulk and so I chose Bucky The Hulk(I just call him Bucky) as a name......decided to keep the Marvel universe naming scheme going.

You could try a fabric based pot that drains and breathes better(than clay or plastic). I have some called smart pots.
