My little guy took a couple days to be ready to eat. He needed to settle in first. What size crickets are you feeding? They really should not be bigger than the space between his eyes. If the feeders are too big, your cham might be a little intimidated by their size. I see @Beman already...
My only thought is it got into the dirt through the drainage holes in the potted plants on the bottom and hid out. Who knows? 🤷♀️ BSFL are my fave because even as flies, Paulie loves them and then he gets to hunt them off the plants/screen.

Oh, Nate! I'm so sorry to hear this. It's awful. I had something similar happen with a chinchilla with crazy unexpected dental issues. It's the worst feeling. You have done the best thing you can for him. I'm sure Grif feels the love. ❤️
