he's already grown accustomed to his indoor enclosure so it should be as stressful if he was going to a totally new/different place. he's probably like oh, time to go back to my other house lol.
you'd be looking at spending at least $500 (excluding price of the cham), more depending if you want/need a mistking or not. feeders also can get expensive if you aren't breeding your own.
Not that it's SUPER relevant, but I recently got my hands on a small dubia colony, 5 males, 10 females and a few dozen nymphs. Bloo is still eating regularly. I can't wait for my dubia colony to start pumping out roaches, then I won't have to spend nearly as much on feeders every week! :) It...
Just an update: Bloo has gone from 96 grams to 104 grams in just over a week, that's progress right there! Just 1 or 2 more weeks of daily feeding and then he'll be cutting back to every other day! Thanks so much everyone for your advice on this.
I live in Ottawa, I've spent lost of time trying to find other more "rare" feeders, and I haven't had any luck. I've looked on kijiji and facebook groups.
just a quick update, his appetite is REALLY turning around!! he's taking down 10-15 large crickets a day, I know that is a lot for an adult, but once he gains some weight back, ill slow it down to 5-10 every other day. :)
silks are hardER to get, but I could still get my hands on them. A few of the places I checked out that ship feeders won't ship silks right now because of the high temps and RH we have right now.
He is doing much better now, I just want to know what I could do to plump him up a little ya know? Is there a specific kind of vegetable or other gut load ingredient that would plump him up faster? I mentioned in the initial post on this thread, would it be okay to feed him more super worms...
