he literally had a "hunger strike" for 13 weeks total, i am pretty sure he would have died if he didn't eat for 3 months, i think he only ate a cricket here and there to stay alive.
he didn't always eat 1-2 a week, there were definitely several 2 week long periods when he didn't eat anything, but yes, I think i will try and get a decal done soon.
I COULD try silkworms, the closest place to me that sells them is a 2 hour bus ride away though, and I don't drive. I get horns at petsmart a 15min walk from my home, and yes the crickets are always well fed :) thanks.
His hunger strike lasted from april to june, during this time period he was only consuming 1-2 crickets a WEEK. His hunger strike "ended" 4 days ago and he's been eating 6-7 large crickets a day, today he ate 9 large crickets. Also, I will post some pics of Blood tomorrow, I had a really busy...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Nosy Be Panther Chameleon, Male, 2-3 years old, he is wild caught. Bloo has been in my care for 10 months
Handling - once or twice a week, I bring him outside or let him roam around in my bedroom (I supervise him)
Feeding - He is eating 6-7 large crickets a day...
is it at all possible that when he bite into the hornworm some of the worm came through his nose? a chameleon's nose is just two holes that go into there mouth.
since your guy is still young and growing, he isn't going to be pooping as much as you think he should be, he still needs to keep some of the mass he eats to grow his body :)
@Brodybreaux25 i got a quick question for you, how much do chams 2 years+ usually eat, my panther Bloo is 2ish years old, he is wild caught but I've had him 1 year. Bloo eats 2-3 crickets every other day, mind you it is winter and I live in Canada lol. what do you think?
