So I have talked to a few people on here about my chameleons shed. She has shed everything except for one side of her body and part on her head. I have looked into what to do and neptunethechameleons video said to leave everything the exact way it is. They are dry shedders. But once it's been...
Also what would you recommend for it staying a little bit too hot at night, her enclosure was around 70 last night and I wanted it to be around 60, any way I can fix that without putting a fan too close to her?
Alright, so I do live in alabama where It is always hot, I always keep her uvb on and only turn the heat bulb on and off only when it gets too hot. Usually she stays in the low 80s but sometimes it trys to jump up and I just turn the heat bulb off and watch it. I also have a fan set up next to...
So I've been wondering if there is a device that will turn my heat lamp on and off if it gets too hot or too cold. I work at a restuarant sometimes doubles. I always come home to check on her during my breaks but I'm about to not have that opportunity anymore. I was wondering if there was...
Thank you so much! Yea I do live in alabama and my ventilation for my house isn't amazing so the humidity is a little high but I always keep the door open with a fan and make sure there's never sitting water. Also thank you so much for the gutloading sheet! I will follow that and add more variety.
@putinand @MissSkittles this is the link to my husbandry info aswell as the forum where I find out I have a female not a male lol. Figured it would help. Please give me any insight or suggestions to my enclosure if you can, thank you!
Yes I currently have a T8 linear arcadia 6% bulb. I'm about to switch to a T5 linear arcadia 6% bulb but I have to buy a bigger fixure first. And yes I have a double dome, I bought the chameleon reptibreeze kit stupidly but I'm only using the heat bulb from it.
Yeah! Well I was actually about to take out the fake ones. I have a pothos coming in the mail and I was going to put it on the door for more coverage in the front like you said, I just didn't want her to feel too exposed because she still doesn't like me too much. Also here are some pictures...
I have made and put in the lay bin, it's damp enough to hold a tunnel but not sopping. There's a fake plant and a vine and umbrella plant for her to climb in and out. Any other suggestions? Thank you again!
After learning that my veiled chameleon is a female. I now understand I need a lay bin, I have watched many videos and seen that washed play sand and organic potting soil 50 / 50 mix would be perfect. I can only find washed play sand and was wondering if I can use that by itself for her. She's...
Thank you so much for this information. My humidity levels go up to around in the 90s during night and that worried me about tail rot but thank you for reassuring. And my tanks always around 60 at night so thats good. I do have a new pothos plant I will put more in the front, also a monstera...
Also what can I do for stuck shed. It's not around any toes or on the eyes so it's not threatening but he does have it covering one side of him and it's been there for a few days now. Plz help
I have the thermometer that came with the reptibreeze cage. Also are we certain this is a female. I don't see any spurs but the veil looks a little big to be a female. I'm no professional but I want to make sure and get the correct answer. And yes I do have a few live plants coming in the mail...
