    How high is too high?

That's actually what Chameleon Academy suggested in one of its cage build tutorials.

    How high is too high?

I'm starting to think I need a separate fixture for the UVB bulb so i can control it better. Original idea was to replace one of the vivosun bulbs with the Arcadia UVB bulb.

The platform at the top of the picture is for a fogger. If I find I don't need one all I need to do is remove 4 screws and I can take it off. USB fan is if I need to cool the enclosure. All of these are on Wi-Fi smart plugs including the heat lamp.

The little seen, often talked about, top of the cage.

    How high is too high?

Oh good! I looked over the manual at the mistking site. I think I'll need to read ot a couple more times too!

The other alternative is to maybe put velcro on the back of the timer and the inside of the cabinet up high enough to keep it dry even if there is a leak.

They could probably be spliced but I imagine that would void the warranty.

I would like to have them in the drawer. Easy access and fairly safe from H2O.

    How high is too high?

How much cord is there between the timer and the pump? I'd probably need 4 or 5 feet?

    How high is too high?

All the electrical connections/cords run up into the drawer. This way they are more protected from water. Even if the drain pan leaked in the middle it would have to get through half inch plywood first. Of course there is some extra storage room in the drawer too.

Here is under the cabinet. Bucket in the back is for drainage. Distilled water (an RO system is in the future but I'll manage with buying Distilled for now) and the right is where the mistking will go. Top is the reservoir and the pump will sit under the shelf. I know the shelf doesn't have to...

And 3 at the basking site is supposed to be good I believe?

    How high is too high?

Currently the light is about 3 inches above the top and the basking branch is about 6 inches from the top. So right around 9 inches total away from the uvb bulb. Obviously I want to be sure about the actual level so I will be getting a meter in the next couple of weeks. Long before any miniture...

    If you had to choose....

The main deciding factor came from the realization that there was going to be a lot more to setting up a mistking than there would be in using the uvb meter. For instance I'm going to need to build a shelf in the cabinet stand so I can get the water reservoir higher than the pump for gravity...

    How high is too high?

Hey thanks for the comments! I came within a chameleons eyelash of ordering the solar-meter but decided to go for the mistking. I realized the hydration mounts I got from Dragon Strand have 2 holes for either the monsoon or mistking. That would mean putting a hole in the screen top and then...

    If you had to choose....

Hey thanks for the comments! I cam within a chameleons eyelash of ordering the solar-meter but decided to go for the mistking. I have a build thread going too and threw the question in it and a response there was to get the mister so I can make sure both misting and drainage are both working...

    How high is too high?

I was itching to check it with a meter but I think you are right about the mistking. That way instead of bothering to try and set up the monsoon I can just wait a week until the mistking gets here!

    How high is too high?

Your info was why I raised the light above the top. Right around 8-9 inches from the basking branch now. Arcadia 6% 22 inch bulb. Thanks!

    If you had to choose....

Thanks! I will look at the feeder placement.
