    How high is too high?

The trail and error part is why I want it set up and running for at least a month before trying to get an inhabitant. I want to make sure I get all these parameters dailed in first!

    How high is too high?

The only other issue I'm a little concerned about is having to raise the lights up off the top. Not going to have a lot of room for that. However it sounds like the height itself isn't really an issue so I'll have to deal with it!

    How high is too high?

No! Sorry. I meant the usb fan. I don't currently have it set up. I'm staining the cabinet today. When I had it mocked up a couple of days ago it was almost exactly 24 inches to the ceiling. Today I put wheels on the cabinet and they were about 2 1/2 inches high. So should be 21 inches from the...

    How high is too high?

Off the top of my head I was thinking Jacksons a bit cooler than the other two but that's good to know that basically they are all about the same temperatures. Still correct that Jackson's need a lower night drop in temperature than Veiled or Panthers?

    How high is too high?

That's an interesting point. Especially for a Jacksons but not ruling out a veiled or Panther yet.

    How high is too high?

Yeah, but then I can't see him all the time! Just kidding! Mainly I was wondering if there might be heat issues from the lamp or if there was any issues with air exchange out of the top if its too close the ceiling.

    How high is too high?

Just wondering if there is a "too" high for an enclosure? Ceilings are 9 feet from the floor. Enclosure is 4 foot tall and the cabinet it will sit on is 35 inches. Then I added casters to the bottom to make it a bit easier to move. I will have about 21-22 inches clearance from the top of the...

Humidity Too High in Glass Terrarium

Something like this would work. You can use an old cell phone charger to plug it into for power. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G05A2MU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_CVG5RDQ8QSMAK5SGMTVJ

    Mist King

So I am in the process of setting up a 2x2x4 enclosure. Still in the process of setting it up and I have a Monsoon 2 that I will probably start out with but I know (now) that I will want to switch over to a mist king prior to getting a chameleon. While there isn't a lot of difference in price...

    Looking to ID enclosure

YES! Just got an email from Dragon Strand and my accessory pack (drain pan, Dragon Ledges, and hydration mounts) are on the way! Going to have to get some work done this weekend on the stand and the enclosure!

    Looking to ID enclosure

Thanks! Just makes sense to me at least for Old World Chameleons. Once I started reading Chameleon Academy and started coming here I realized there is a lot more involved than for my Crested Gecko and green tree frog (in separate enclosures). Don't want any critter suffering because I didn't do...

    Looking to ID enclosure

Ok got it wrong! The cabinet is 35 inches high. When the enclosure is on the cabinet it is about 70 inches to the top. From the top to the ceiling is almost exactly 24 inches. So I guess a 3 Step folding stool is also a must have! Can't really start assembling it yet. The cabinet has to be...

    Looking to ID enclosure

Exactly. I am purposely not even looking at Chameleon breeders or places to purchase. Concentrating on getting a well functioning enclosure set up and parameters Dailed in after that. Then I can go about deciding on an inhabitant. My goal is to let the enclosure tell me what type of Chameleon I...
