Find some locals and sell off the worms you cant feed off. I hatch 500 at a time to feed 3 chams, 1 bearded dragon, and red footed tortoise and u usually end up giving some to fellow reptile owners local to me.
My male is almost 2 years old and is the antichrist. I tried everything and he just never came around to being held. I love him tho and think its funny when he bows up at me whenever I am cleaning the cage ;)
Another vote for Odyssea fixtures. I have them on all my chams and all of my fish tanks. Not had any problems with them. In fact i drop a quad bulb Odyssea fixture into one fish tank by accident. Unplugged it and let it sit overnight. It fired up perfect the next day.

Some chams just like what they like. My veiled will eat the plants in his cage but wont touch fruit or greens. Wont touch meal worms either. He loves hornworms and silk worms tho.
