If it may be fertile and was laid today I would try and incubate it. My pygmy tanks are also misted 2-3 times a day but sometimes the females find a dry part of the tank to dig and lay their eggs.
About 10 days ago I had 3 laid this way, when I got home from work all 3 had started to dent...
I had my first chameleon baby hatch a couple weeks back. My second baby has just hatched. Currently I have a couple baby bins setup.
WIll the first baby attack the newborn if I add it to the old baby bin. Since this clutch seems to be hatching spread out it will be easier if I can add a...
I really know nothing about Jacksons but that baby looks healthy.
Probably a good idea to get some sort of bin ready for the baby. I use rubbermaid containers with some dowels and fake plants inside for my babies. Provide a basking spot and a UVB light. The basking spot will be a little...
Reptoman,
Thank you for the advice. I have tried this with a small cup and an extra piece of the dowel I had remaining. There is already one cricket up top, as well as 2 climbing up the stick.
Great advice.
I have setup some bins for my baby panthers, these bins are 12 inches wide x 15 inches high x 20 inches deep. Inside there are some wooden dowels used as highways and some fake plants for cover. They have UVB as well as a basking spot just below 80 so everything seems good. I am using some...
I will have a couple of neonate panthers needing homes in the next little while. I have bins setup for them with some sticks and fake plants as well as a used reptisun 5.0 uvb bulb.
My question is what temps are ideal for the neonates. What temps for basking if required at all, and what...
Recently when I was doing my research for a pygmy setup I was pointed towards this article.

Great information on all aspects of setting up a pygmy enclosure, including what types of plants can be used.
The design of my tank and the lid will not allow me to have both a UVB fixture and a fixture for heat.
I am currently looking at purchasing some clamp fixtures with a small watt bulb to hang off the side. I am hoping this will help even though it will be on the glass as opposed to on the mesh...
I hadnt forgotten about the cleanup crew, but its cold this time of year up here in Ontario and shipping they may not be possible. Therefore I will add some springtails in the spring likely.
Will the pygmy chameleons eat the springtails, or do they mostly stayed buried in the soil?
I was hoping it would be around 72 but since its in my basement its a little colder. The problem I am having is added even a small heat light would boost the temperatures in parts of the tank over 80. Since parts are already at 65.
I am just a little worried these temps might be too cold...
I setup a tank for the pygmys I will be getting shortly. They will be R. Brevs (bearded). The tank is a taller tank, roughly 24 inches high and has a UVB light along the top back side.
Near the top by the UVB light the temperature is 76 degrees, and down near the substrate the temperature is...
