what type of thermometer to use?

What type of thermometer are you using? I understand the benefits of a digital thermometer. I now have more then 1 cage setup and I was wondering what people are using for multiple cages. I have an infared thermometer, but I am not confident I am getting an accurate basking them with this...

Gravid or angry female panther chameleon?

Thanx yoza for the input. She does have some pink occasionally but not nearly that much. Do your gravid females continually maintain that much pink? She has a umbrella plant and a fake plant in there so hiding spots should not be a concern, and her basking spot is right around 88 degrees...

Gravid or angry female panther chameleon?

I picked up this female panther chameleon last sunday at a local expo, from a well respected breeder. She is around 6 months old. 48" UVB bulb over 2 cages

Anyone using the reptisun 48" UVB bulb on top of 2 or more cages? What should I be looking for in a fixture? Are the fixtures from a homedepot or lowes good? If its a dual tube light fixture what bulb would be used for the 2nd tube? Using this larger bulb would save alot of money since the...

Cages on an incline for drainage.

I have considered the holes in the bottom covered with screen. Since I am building my own table to hold these cages I could do either method. I like the slight incline since it will not require any mods to any of my cages. The lighting and basking spot are not a trouble I have tried this...

Cages on an incline for drainage.

I am using a mistking and having some trouble with drainage, unless I clean the excess water from the cages daily. I currently have 2 cages and will be expanding to a 3rd. I plan on using an incline with a gutter to run the water away into buckets. Anyone using an incline or a similar setup...

    Fiberglass Screen?

When I was doing research for building my own cage I found that the crickets could possibly eat through the fiberglass screen. I found a metal screen similar to the one used by the bigger vendors at Lowes.
