First off, I'm sorry for your losses :( never easy losing a Cham especially a baby. Second i hope you have an easy time fixing your temperature situation, it's been real hot out here in Hawaii Kai as well but I'm lucky enough to have mine housed in my room. Best of luck to you!
Athena as green as I've seen her (extreme hatred of cameras and her own reflection)
Sorry the pictures are so blurry I was very close to getting bitten but it was the only way to get a good shot heh :)
I own 2 Xanth Jacksons so I don't know if this will help or not. But with Xanth females when they are pregnant they begin to take more of a form that would resemble a sack of marbles.
I like to name my chameleons after goddesses and gods. Also things that usually involve authority. I named my first Male Jackson King. My girls names are Luna, Athena.
I hold both of my Jackson's. Luna loves coming out of her cage and heads straight to the top of my hair and usually stays there and I walk around the house or play games, or even take her to petco :). Athena hates being handled so I only bring her out if she's going to go on her hibiscus outside.
This is off subject but I LOVE HER COLOR. She's got such an intense shade of green I adore it :). Reminds me of my girl Emerald. Also this is a very interesting topic thank you for sharing.
My youngest Cham Athena (my little goddess of war) has reached 4 months of age so I snagged her a new cage, light set up, and cool mist humidifier. If you look in the top right you can see her spying on me(:
