My male panther chameleon just turned 4 months old. Well, maybe.... his hatch date estimate is 4/15-5/1 but I think he was born closer to 5/1 as he just seems more 4 months than 4.5 months... He's not showing ANY colors yet. Is this normal? I thought at least one color would have developed by...
honestly wish i saw this sooner. im afraid to move my nozzles since theres already a hole in both corners but honestly idk why i ever listened to the idea of doing corners. immediately knew I was doomed when I turned it on lol barely any of my plants are getting watered but if i had done it in...
Im thinking in the future of getting another chameleon. However, I would only have a 36x18x36 enclosure to go with. Is there any type of chameleon that would house comfortably in one?
WOW! He is very colorful for 5 months. A lot of people were telling me not to expect much until 6 months. Mine is only 3.5 months almost 4 not sure. I was given a two week hatch range but he has no colors yet at all
Omg those colors!! This is how I assume mine may end up looking. He doesn’t have any color at all yet but this is how his father looks 😍
He is stunning! How old is he?
Curious to see what everyone's chameleons resting colors look like? If there’s a forum of this already, please direct me as I tried searching but no luck. As a new panther chameleon mom I’ve noticed most pics I see online are when they are fired up and most colorful, but I want to see the...
oh wow so it could be that hes too hot? I thought they did it when they need more heat so im sitting here trying to adjust the heat lamp higher to see how he adjusts when i should be going lower? that branch that sticks up vertically in some of the pics above is the hightest point in the cage...
reptisun t5 and about 8 inches. as for gutloading collar greens and zuchini.... also i just fed him 2 silkworms with tongs (tried for a third but he walked away) and when doing so he turned a really light color and when he was done he went back to basking and turned dark again
the probes are directly under the actual bulb and at the hightest point there. There are def higher branches but they are more towards the end of the light fixture and didnt read as high of a temp than when it was directly under the bulb. at least they didnt when i set up the cage and tested...
I got him from framschams and I use the probe ones as I was told the heat gun may not be accurate. So I actually have one under the plant light and the basking light then I have a hydrometer/thermometer in the middle of the cage so that gives me the ambient which is 74 right now
Today is 9 days since I got my male panther chameleon. He is about 3.5 months.. The last couple days he has been really dark. Like all day, or at least when I go peek in on him. Is he ok? He's eating fine, pooping fine (and look normal with white pee), and hes drinking. Now my question is, could...
Ok I’ll def check that! This is my setup for reference. He’s sleeping so I had to be super quick. And don’t mind the mess I’m still trying to figure out where to store my bugs 😂
unfortunately the clip idea isnt working for me. i went out and bought shelves to try it but no luck. My issue is theres only about 10 inches from the top of my enclosure to the ceiling. The smallest lights i could find were about 7 inches and then i tried to put the clamp on it and have it got...
I have tried every possible way of lifting the lights (plant light and basking light) off the cage but it just will not work with the type of ceiling I have (drop tile, doesnt hold anything).. My question is, can I buy those lighting crates from home depot and put that under the lights to raise...
LOL yeah def havent picked him up yet other than when i put him in the cage. I cant wait to hold him again though! I did spot cleaning today and it looks much better. I took care of the plants (trimmed them) but didnt put in the new plants as they will be delivered tomorrow. The plants doing...
oh wow! I am so glad I asked and you said something... honestly I thought for sure I was going to be told to wait 1-2 weeks before doing anything to the enclosure otherwise I would risk freaking him out. I will do some cleaning tomorrow then! As for the food bowl I did clean it but in general...
