OK, Thank you. I will keep the eggs. Should I try to put her with the male again? She is still showing gravid colors, but is deflated. The male is very mellow.
My female oustalet was digging in her large laying bin before I went to work Thurs. When I came home, eggs were all over the floor of the cage!
I put them in vermiculite, as they all looked good. She layed more overnight (on the floor), for a total of 34 eggs. I cannot palpate her to see if she...
Hi,
I would put her in the big egg laying bin and put a mesh top on it so she cannot get out. Then leave her alone. Maybe she is stressed from being moved?
Good luck.
My female wc ambilobe just laid a second clutch since I got her in Sept. 15 eggs, all white, but smallish (a bit smaller than those fancy jelly beans). She laid her first clutch with me in Oct. of 20 eggs. Those first eggs all doing well. The fertility of this clutch remains to be seen. They...
Just wanted to let you know that the meller's that keeps biting her tail is now at my house. She is in a 4 ft sceen cage away from other chams.
she drank and ate a bit, but could not monitor much more as I have been at work. She falls asleep before I get home, but I think it is from the outside...
Well, she does have my heart. She reacts positively to me (more than other staff), maybe because I do not stress her as much as I have some at home.
I will talk to my boss and see what she says.
I'll let you know what happens.
Hi,
There is an adult meller's chameleon where I work. A month and a half ago, I found her (I am guessing the sex, as there are no black spots behing flaps), biting her tail. I poked her to make it stop. I came in one morning and it was pretty bad. I got some Baytril and treated her , with...
I am working on getting new computer to post pics. And I will have alot.
I actually made a trade 3 years ago for a couple of green trees for 2 clutches of cornsnakes. They were a pair (babies), but last spring my siamese snuck into the room and knocked the cover off from the female and she...
I've traded some baby beardies last summer for 2 wild-caught female panthers. One of which laid 20 eggs and is going to lay again.
Just last week, I traded one of my green tree pythons for a wild-caught male Nosy Be, to pair up with my female.
I forgot to mention that it happened over time. The panther, as a baby, had this problem occasionally, but the breeder could not help.
I just wanted to know if adding more vitamin B to the diet would be helpful. Otherwise, I will have to wait and see if it improves in the spring when they can...

They get superworms 2x week, and silkworms or hornworms 1 x week, crickets on other days. The gut load was already posted for crickets.

Hi,
I have been reading the past threads about tongue problems (cham aiming but tongue going too high), as I have a problem with a couple of mine.
This is the gutload I use for the crickets:
rice baby cereal, bee pollen, wheat germ, brewers yeast and kelp. I also give them oranges...
I used this to treat my adult Meru Jackson's for parasites and they both died 2 and 3 days later with immediate decline right after administration. I have heard other problems with Panacur and this species. I will not treat any further Jackson's, unless they show symptoms.
I have convinced...
Hi,
I would also like to get a copy of that issue! My email is [email protected].
The female I have is too small for breeding though. I will have to wait until next year.
I did not have computer for a couple of weeks and will need a new one soon.
Baby Meru Jackson's have been dying. I had 8 last week and not have 3.
I changed the set-up to a screen cage with weak basking area and I will see if it helps. The room temp is 72. basking is 77.
I also treated the...
I lost 1 Meru Jackson baby, but the 8 that are left are doing well.
They are 4 in 2 bins.
The 2 Werner babies are doing ok also.
It is interesting to note the differences between the two species. Werner's very shy and do not eat alot (compared to Jacks). Merus very aggressive eaters and...
I would like to have a male Nosy Be panther and a female veiled chameleon.
Got a Nosy Be baby in Toronto, but it turned out to be female, so now I have 2 and no male.
