    Minor chameleons

I don't have time to look through their whole site but I'm not seeing how a national charity group qualifies as "hobbyists" nor where they saved a species from extinction, but they are reptiles.

    Minor chameleons

From CITES: http://www.cites.org/sites/default/files/eng/com/sc/65/Inf/E-SC65-Inf-04.pdf 9.The breeding and subsequent sale of progeny from successfully smuggled animals serves as a financial incentive to poach and smuggle additional specimens; 10. The occasional or sporadic captive...

    Minor chameleons

Sort of, I actually meant to say any "reptile" species that has been saved from extinction by hobbyists. The hobbyist part was in there, though.

    Minor chameleons

Don't forget Dr. Anderson also said he believes most of these specimens are sourced from parents or grandparents that were illegally smuggled out of Madagascar. Sure, they may now have papers but that doesn't change the moral status of acquiring them. As he has also stated, animal laundering...

Twelve years old. http://chameleonnews.com/02MayAndersonMinorCaptive.html First paragraph spells out the captive status up to that point.

    Minor chameleons

Kevin has been adding wc blood to his lines throughout, if I'm not mistaken. Or, at least, he's bred back to cb bloodlines much closer to wild. I believe he's explained that somewhere. It wasn't F5 x F5 to get the F6, right? Edit: I looked at old communications and they don't say wc...

How many species from Madagascar that were suspended from trade in 1995 are still represented in US collections, other than Calumma parsonii which have been imported regularly since then?

    Minor chameleons

Small world. I remember doing some sort of business with him in the early 90's (probably pardalis) and also discussing his work breeding lateralis. It was a pretty small "community" back then!

    Oorana mena and Nosy faly

The name Oorana Mena was first given to them to keep the locale secret to one specific exporter in Madagascar. Screameleons was the first to get them in the US. The same was done with the first Nosy Mitsios - Mafana and Soabana were used. It's probably going to happen again this season with...

If there were new CITES species quotas?

The timing of the release of the 2014 permits is unfortunate and probably will mean poor health in a lot of the imports but won't the permits for these species in subsequent years be distributed much earlier, with all the others?

    Mangoaka panther

Time flies. It was almost 7 years ago. Unfortunately, the pics aren't up anymore. She had an up-turned rhino horn on the top of her rostrum. https://www.chameleonforums.com/nosy-mitsio-pardalis-strange-nose-9303/

    Mangoaka panther

Isn't Maykel the one who had the female Mitsio with a rostral "horn?"
