We already sorted it out and it was indeed Dirk and Alexandra. I forgot his name but I've been chatting with him for a while, I'm not even trying to discuss it with him. Next time I know where I buy my quads, he had nice Rh. viridis though :P
This quad doesn't even have 6 horns and it's looking...
It was the german guy in de big hall. He is kind of ugly looking, I know his wife is Alexandra but I don't remember his name. I always make a little chat with him when I see him and I asked him if he had gracilior and he told me he sold them already.
I already explained to Ricardo on the Dutch forum why I think it's not gracilior, but I found out from who he bought him and that's the same guy who sold me my quads for gracilior last year. In the end they were clearly not gracilior so I think it's the same thing here... Next time I know where...
I don't need a dripper, my chameleons are so smart they drink straight off my hand mister when I stand in front of their enclosure ;)
But it sure is useful info Chad :P
Thanks for this info Mario, it's great to read how you simulated temperatures to what they do in nature, requires some research ;)
It's great to see such fanatics that really but the time and effort in these kind of things so we are able to understand and keep certain species in captivity...
That's right. Compared to other, slower growing species, veiled and also panthers have the biggest chance to develop MBD. Something that makes me say that these 2 species aren't always the best species to start with. Especially the cases of veiled's with MBD is incredibly high and so unnecessary...
the size of the animals is about 10-15 cm body length. About half the size, if not 2/3 of a K. multituberculata. Also in bigger enclosures it's possible to keep them as a group. My experience told me Trioceros species are a lot more social than some Furcifer and Chamaeleo species. I think both...
I would pay more for captive bred. CB animals are a little stronger than WC and pygmies can be very sensitive. Certainly as a beginner I would start with CB more than WC, if you make mistakes a WC animal would die faster than a CB animal. BTW, WC pygmý cost about 25-30$ here so in my opinion...
I actually have my veiled and my quadricornis both sitting in front of my hand mister to get the water. As soon as I come over to mist my veiled he's right at it to catch the water, I use a very small jet of water or just drops and they drink like that with me every day. It takes some time but...
I must say, the enclosures Ricardo makes are looking great but as an exception among the Dutch I prefer screen cages. I actually have a cage here that's like Ricardo's but I noticed my veiled was less active and I needed way more branches and plants to make it possible for him to move around...
It's good to see that someone is taking care of these beautiful panthers ;)
The sun is the best medicine and I know how hard it can be to stop MBD or even cure some of it so you did very good job he's already around 5 years old!
Thanks Benny, I got him from Jiri in Hamm :)
@ laurie
Sure you can use them. As long as you don't start spreading around this gorgeous guy is yours hehe :p:p
