    Feeding dubia's from a colony

So, you think the colony situation creates healthy behavior/growth? Could well be. So far I just purchase small numbers and feed off slowly. I'm down to about 8 at the moment, all different sizes, who are always hiding when I look, but are growing...I don't heat the bin either. I am a lazy dubia...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Ironically, my dubias won't touch my cubes. Made them from that video posted earlier. The cube molds in no time and I'm cleaning that bin a lot. I only keep a small number of dubias so not too difficult. They are growing...but not sure what they're eating. Maybe some dry Superload, bee pollen...

    Need advice

Hey ...you may have already seen this - and I don't know your particulars - but I found this at https://www.doyourownpestcontrol.com/rats.htm: Rats (especially Roof rats) are wary of new objects, new foods or changed in environment. They are constantly exploring surroundings and notice changes...

Has anyone considered Super Absorbant Polymers (water beads) as a drainage solution?

I mist every 4 hours for 2 minutes, 7am-7pm, and evap is taking care of most of the water that makes it to the cage floor. I've hung all the plants, and my floor is plastic with holes drilled, with a tray beneath. Nothing ever makes it to the tray. I too worried about drainage but its turned...

    Live locusts in USA

Interesting thread ....please clarify in layman's terms the difference between locusts and grasshoppers...and are lubbers (which are on the Do Not Feed list) just a large variety of grasshopper? We've got tons of wild hoppers here in CO that can leap over tall buildings in a single bound...I...

    My Chameleon Fell While Sleeping

I'm not a very experienced keeper, and can only offer basic advice until others see your post. If your guy is moving normally and is able to climb and balance, and breathing calms, I don't think its an emergency. Tomorrow, you should consider making an appointment with a exotics vet (preferably...

    Silkworms dying off

Will do. On the topic....do I recall reading that I can also run Starsan thru my mister tubing to disinfect? I can't get mulberry leaves in Colorado (that I am aware of) which is too bad. I'd rather feed leaves. Do you harvest your own?
