Hi guys,
This is a long shot in the dark! I've had been working with Meru's in the states prior to my move to Korea. Looks like my job is stabilizing and I may stay here for a few years. Let me tell ya, it's nice here but my longing for chameleons is intensifying. I'm wondering if...
Ok, so I've been in Korea for the past year and finally have some vacation time in August. I was think about doing my usually wing it solo backpacking trips through Tanzania. I imagine it may be a bit difficult but I'm up to the challenge. Especially, because I absolutely adore Mt. Meru's...

I've always used wild caught insects (especially flies) as my primary food source here in the states. Dealing with infected animals is heartbreaking and is probably the reason why people get touchy with this subject. Personally i've never had major issues with parasidic infections. They may...
Use a Q-tip to force the mouth open. Roll it along the side of the mouth to tease the mouth open, leave the tip inside the mouth to prop the mouth open. If you have a syring, cut the tapered end off and stuff it with a few crickets. Using the gap provided by the Q-tip guide a few crickets into...
I am by no means a veterinarian with reptile experience, but i've had chameleons with similar symptoms as yours. Type in sinus infections in the search options and you'll see a series of topics that will give you an idea of what your dealing with. You can also inform your vet that you suspect...

You folks are missing out. I assure you all your feeder insects have mandibles capable of inflicting wounds to your chameleons mouths. Given that most do not have venom injecting capabilities, I say feed on it's all protein anyways! ;)
Venoms are amino acid compounds (proteins) and will denature and eventually become inactive once it mixes with digestive acids. If the animal has cuts, possibly caused by mandibles  it may enter the blood stream and have its desired effect.
I do believe that the dehydrated versions such as "can of crap" lack much of the desired nutritional value live insects hold. Plus you can't gutload.;)
