Sounds like normal behavior. Some of my chameleons sleep on the screen religiously and some don't. Only thing you should be concerned with is the loss of toe nails due to the aluminium screen. This primary occurs when pacing on the screen itself.

There really isn't much to my method of feeding. I love to release insects into my cage triggering a natural feeding response in my chams. Of course i can't do that with my waxworms or grubs which are fed using a cup. All dwarf jackson's in my care never took to crickets...
