They do look in a very healthy condition. But owning two males?
Might be good to also take both out of the owner’s hands. He has no clue how to take care of them. He already had one die because he left it in the sun too long.
Would have been nice if I could have a female :(
This guy...
Sexing Parsons -Please help- Want to Buy(Parsonii)(Male or female)
I have this opportunity to buy a pair of Parsons Chameleons.
First of all I know nothing about Parsons.
I've seen the pair and they look exactly alike. To tell the truth the owner isn't completely sure if they are a male...
Thats true. I think its also about how small they were when you got them and how much you handle them.
Brock....those are awesome! You have me jealous..hee hee. Very cool. Here is mine.
Well, thanks Chuck, please pm me the information. I'll keep in touch and ad some pictures soon. If we can sex them and determine they are truly male and female then I'll consider purchasing them.
The owner at the moment doesn't sound very experienced. He already had one die because " he left...
The Bradypodion thamnobates is my favorite chameleon. He loves to climb on my hand and just sits there for hours. He literally sits and waits in front of the door of his cage and when I open he climbs on my hand and chills. This is the only Chameleon I have, thats on my wish list. The number one...
Thanks Chuck. I'll post the pictures tomorrow evening.
Another question though. How long does Parsons live?
I cant seem to find much information on them on the web. I did find some info, but mostly things I already know.
Would it be possible to tell the sex at age +/- 10 months?
I have realized that they won’t be an investment of any kind. If I do have success breeding them, there seems to be no market for them in our country anyway. I basically just love chameleons and would love to add Parsonii to my collection. Just to have them and see them every day is already...
I'll try and ask the owner where they are from. I've spoken to a local guy here, he has been breeding chameleons for 12 years. He said that when the batch came in last year he also had a chance of buying a few, but decided against it because of it not being a profitable species. He gave me allot...
That is true. I've established that they are most certainly not a breeding pair. Still too young. He got 6 of them end of June. At that time they were about 1-2month of age. He claims they are now 9 -10months. If it was let’s say July, then they would be 11months now. They were apparently...
Thank you all for the advice.
The owner of the pair has had them since last year June. They came in with a batch of about 20 in June 2008. Half of them lasted 3-6 months. Mostly dyeing because some people didn't have the right knowledge to keep them. The importing and permits was done legally...
I've been breeding with veiled chameleons for a year now. I recently got some panthers and now I have a guy offering me a breeding pair of Parsons.
First of all I know nothing about Parsons.
I've seen the pair and they look exactly alike. To tell the truth he isn't completely sure if they...

Wow, just amazing. Well done with the incubation. They are all spectacular. Would love to own one. Pity I'm so far away. They come from the same continent as where I live but still not possible to get. Lucky for me we have other local interesting chameleons. Very cool though!
Panthers tend to sometimes do this. I've seem my 4month old panther turn dark brown to black when I put him back in his enclosure at night. When taken out he changes to a white, grey, blue. I dont think it is stress. He is very healthy. What Cham do you have and when does he turn black?
