Lucky for me i drop down to 50wat basking lamps in the summer, but every morning i am lucky enough that the GF take then out at around 8 in the morning till i get home :-) She mists them and makes sure the is shade in some part of the cages as the sun moves. So my bill in the summer is minimal...

It is due to over heating. If you really want us to give you the best advise please upload a picture. Do you have a dripper? and how do you keep the humidity up in the cage?
