Hey Summoner!
congrats on your new melleri. looks like a really great WC. much better than others i have seen.
Most would not recommend a diet of only horn worms. They are fatty and don't really offer much roughage for their systems.
If he is impacted you could try using a drop or two...
careful with the artificial coloring and dyes that go into it. I would use some, but not alot. i notice them not eating each other if you put in some type of protein for the crickets.
a week and a half is a short time for his acclimation. It's very common for them to not eat in front of others, at least not for a while. the closer they get to a year, the less they will feed. I would follow Jann's routine as well.
Hey guys i heard to hurricane dropped :) I was there for charlie and the other 2 that shortly followed a few years back. Glad all you guys and the wild veiled chameleons running around are safe ;)
aww, im sorry to hear that. you could just work with him day after day. they will usually warm up to you sooner or later. my panther would run away from me and gape for almost 3 months when i first got him.
some tips
-let him know you control his food and water.

they usually have their "beds" i can always find my guy in 1 of 2 places whenever i get home. Hes really friendly so i dont mind him crawling all over my bed. He just wakes up, does his morning routine. bask/water/eat/poop. and just hangs out...

I read from another member that Hibiscus rosa-sinensis can cause eye and skin problems, but never heard this before. I always thought they were the safest plants in the world for chameleons.
thanks.
id probably say yours is around 3-4 month old. it is fine as long as the ambient temp is above 60-65. Just provide areas for shade and to get out of drafts if it is windy.
