for a growing chameleon no, that seems normal. they start to taper off with the amount of food after nine months, at least mine did, where as then he gets like six to eight every day or every other day.

yup ^^^ that happened to me and i had to get rid of it. i just bought the hood light afterwards.

well you can use it for now, but you should use a fluorescent hood light bc it distributes the light better and allows a broader spectrum, then having the light be focused on one area. I had the same kind and switched it out cuz the hood gives more light, which increases absorption.
