Well I've noticed that throughout the time Ive had my chameleon, he will sometimes be caught in doing something, like moving around or what not, and then he just closes both eyes and seems to sleep. but he will re open them whenever there is movement around him, like if i walk up to the cage...

well she shouldnt be on the ground. the substrate has to go. bare floors. try taking everything out and put in vines and a small ficus or umbrella plant. what kind of lighting, cage, etc are you using. check the how "how to ask for help", because i think you jumped into a chameleon to quickly...

cool guy, you might want to check the light on the top of your screen, cuz it could fall through. i angle mine on the corners so its supported by the cage, not the screen.

I found my umbrella plant at Lowes and its like 3 feet tall. the shortest they had was 2 feet. try at different Lowes, other than that good luck.

yeah haha its scobey, but i just refer to him as the chameleon. my parents are the only ones who call him by name. and yeah its been like 2 years. doesnt seem he's that old!

thanks, I am going to thin the umbrella out so he can actually hide there but he just hangs out on top all day. I chose a smaller umbrella cuz that was all they had. before i chose a plant that stuffed the cage, and would rather have one grow in, so ill see how it does :)

yeah i live in so cal, and it doesnt require a humidifier here. my guy uses a 60 watt soft light and it works great. His temps are perfect, but i open the window to let the air circulate every now and then. Good luck

i use a uvb and this other random tube light. we had an extra in the garage so i put it in there. i can see about getting a plant light tho.

haha i mean recently as in a few months. i have an umbrella plant it just started dieing when i did use it so i switched. i think i should just take out the tree and let it grow out of the cage for a bit cuz my chameleon has no where to hide and i know he gets stressed from it.

i recently bought a new ficus for my chameleon's cage and currently all the leaves are falling off and he will soon be hanging onto just branches (just like before). any help as to stop the tree from dieing? i really don't want to spend 50 dollars on another.
