I have let the breeder know and they have been very apologetic about it, and are happy to refund me the difference. I have also heard from several people that they have a good deal of affection for their female chameleons :)

My five month old panther chameleon has done this a few times as well, and he seems to be doing just fine! I was so worried about it the first time I saw him hanging there but it's good to know he's not the only little one who thinks he's a bat :p
