Harvey is my very first non furry pet. He is a Jackson's Chameleon. I bought him from LLL Reptile in Escondido, California. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into, but it's getting a little bit easier every day. :D
I've had my chameleon for 3 weeks now. I've got him a pretty sweet little set up in my second bedroom in my apartment. He is in a large ReptiBreeze mesh/screen cage with a hibiscus plant, and some branches for him to climb on. I bought him a really branch-y one from LLL, and he LOVES it! He used...
I LOVE IT! It was so easy to set up, and it's quiet! Harvey loves it! Just a few seconds of having it on, he went from green to BRIGHT green! :D Happy Chameleon, Happy Me. :-D Love it!
I am in need of a mister for my Jackson. I have been looking at the MistKing and Monsoon, but I just want to get some reviews on both before I put the money down. I was holding off because of drainage issues, but I'm upgrading all that tomorrow. Thanks guys!
I have a ZooMed little dripper for my Jackson. Leaving it dripping has drowned my plant.:( I don't have the set up to be able to drain it, and I LOVE having the real plant (hibiscus) in there with him because the leaves don't dry out as fast as the fake leaves. If someone could suggest a way I...
Cool! I took it out of it's original pot, and replaced it with organic potting soil that I bought with the plant. :-D I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I HAD to do before I could put it in.
I have a Jacksons Chameleon, and I know I can gut load the crickets with veggies but can I feed them directly to my cham?
Is there anything special I have to do to a potted plant before I put it in his enclosure or can I just stick it in there with him? I bought him a Hibiscus.
His feces looks exactly as you described, white with brown, no orange. :) His eyes are fine, maybe I'm just over reacting. I'd love to post a picture but I am without a camera at the moment! Thank you! I'm getting a dripper for him tomorrow.
I'm new to the world of owning chameleons. I have a jackson chameleon, I've had him for a week now. I shower him and mist him, but I don't know if he is actually drinking. His color is mostly dark green with some light green stripes. Is this normal?
