TIme to move to a bigger cage

Right, so managed to get Felix's new home set-up yesterday, but still need to sort out drainage. Does anyone else use the Lucky Reptile Humidity control? I've hooked this up to a rain system, and the problem I'm having is that although the rain system is very good and soaks the enclosure, the...

TIme to move to a bigger cage

Really? from all that I've read, i thought a 4x2x2 was a good size for a panther? To be honest, the current plan is to have this high in the corner of the room, with branches attached to the door so that when I am in I can open up to connect him to a free roam area, but I could custom make a viv...

    Hand feeding excitement.

Which one tho the 10 month old or the 4 month old? Been trying but while felix will not run away anymore, there's no way he's sticking his tong near that weird looking pink branch:eek:

TIme to move to a bigger cage

Hello all, I've had my baby Panther for about a month now, and he's eating like a horse, and has now nearly doubled in size (about 3" SVL) and he is beginning to look a little small in his starter viv...(a 18"x18"x18" Exo) (I think he has about a week before he needs to move) I already have...

Tactics and age to start trying to tame a panther

My baby panther is now about 12 weeks old, and has been with me about 4 weeks, and is now settled in quite well, eating like a horse pooing and doing all the right lizardy things now:cool: I have basically left him alone during this time and only go in his viv for a weekly clean (I spot clean...

s/v or SVL is snout to vent length. If it helps, my Panther's weights and measures so far are: 9weeks 4g 1.25"svl 10weeks 6g 1.5"svl 11weeks 8.5g 2"svl So for a 5.5" 32g does not sound unusual.

Simba's 1st shed (and the shock of my life before cleaning enclosure!)

Excellent news on the first shed.... Felix has had his second now. Felix is beginning to be a bit calmer now, and no suicide jumps as yet:eek: Although on Sunday when I got him out for his clean out, he ran up my arm, over my shoulder and into the middle of my back which led to some...

    What, no Locusts?

Hello all, I'm fairly new to these forums, (been on others a while) and I must say I'm loving all the info available, however I have a question: In all the threads I have read so far there is no real reference to usnig locusts as feeders, and I notice they aren't in the resource section...

Just starting out and need some advice

I'm currently using a habba mist for my baby panther, and not having problems with spillages - the spray is fairly weak, and by directing it at teh bushiest part of my ficus that stops it spraying every where. At the moment it is in an exo while Felix is still a baby, and the water only...

    Keeping hoppers alive?!?

Humidity definately kills locusts quickly... I used to use cricket keepers with no heat, and had the same problem. I have now positioned the cricket keeper on a shoe box overhanging my UV starters so they get free warmth from them, plus I top them up with a desklamp on for 4-5 hours in the...
