    Non-native species ban

Has anyone been keeping up on this potential non-native species ban? The link is on the top of kingsnake's website: http://www.pijac.org/files/public/US_HR_669.pdf This has been a big buzz in the snake community mostly by the ball python and the big 5 community since fall of 2008. I'm not...

    Biggest Snake EVER!

Nice burmese. I always wanted a albino or albino green burm, but I don't think I can provide for their huge size.

Looking for someone that can have wild caught chameleons brought into the US

Try going to faunaclassifieds and talk to the lemur dealers/brokers, they have to have a contact in Madagascar. I think all lemurs come from Madagascar and you won't be considered a threat to their little niche in the exotic pet trade.

    Leon Died...

Wow, I'm sorry for your lose. He was a beautiful cham, love his colors. As a previous poster said, 4.5 years is an achievement in chameleon husbandry. I just hope mine lasts as long as yours did. My very first cham died just after a year and half in my care. From your previous thread, it...

Looking for someone that can have wild caught chameleons brought into the US

At the kingsnake website, click on the Business tab at the top and scroll to the very bottom. On the left side, they list a bunch importers and exporters. Might give some of them a try. I think they all require a bulk order though.

    A few Montanes

Ohhh beautiful chams. I'm just starting to get into the montanes. I got my fischer earlier this week and looking forward to getting another species, maybe a deremis or jacksons. Do you have a adult pics?

    Does he look healthy??

Beautiful cham, but his right front leg does look bowed. As for the cage, I think it's actually nice. The plants are different from the standard ficus and schelflerra. Your cage size seems fine also. I'm guessing it's 18x18x36.

    10.0 too much???

Oh, didn't know that. Good to know, since I use a 5.0 in my 2x2x4 cage during the winter.

    Cage Setup

Well I'm glad you were finally able to get a chameleon in your little island paradise. The cage seems really big, what type of chameleon is it and how old is it? Also if it's going to be outside, why bother with the newspaper or paper towel. Just wondering.

    10.0 too much???

I think that's too much. I would just let him be without a UV buld for a day or two (until you can get a 5.0) than have him under a 10.0 UV bulb. UV burns can kill.
