Lorett has been a very beautiful yellow green today. I just went to check on her and she had blue in her neck and very visible yellow on her body. Is this her adult colors coming in? She is 9 months old.

The most common sign from my reading is her gravid colors. That's how everyone can tell that it's time to lay. If she's staying dark she needs to, maybe try different bins until she finds one she likes.

How did she do last night?

I think it looks like what I've read that many others do.

Not that Loretta has reached this point yet, but I think that looks really good! That's exactly what I plan to prepare for my girl!

I have also read where others have had to basically force the issue like leaving her in the can. From what I've read in other threads they will act normal while egg bound and then they will be found passed away.

At first I thought she was upset because she normally gets dark polka fits but she's her bright yellow green and white like she always is sleeping and the color patterns are a different shade of green. I guess I'll have to see if it lasts lol.

Tonight when I went to put the cover over Loretta's cage I seen she had polka dots and some lines in her coloring. Could this be a sign of adult coloring? She was born in July sometime so she's roughly a three month old veiled chameleon.

This is Loretta my 2 1/2-3 month old veiled female.

It also makes sense about her eyes and "napping" I've been reading on the forums that they will keep their eyes closed because of over expiaure but as soon as your around she opens her eyes unlike at night while she's actually sleeping and it takes a lot to wake her.

Thank you! Maybe that's one if the reasons. A lot of her napping has been under leaves in the middle.
