I'm going to be moving to a place to where I cannot take care of my chameleons anymore. I was intending on breeding them. I have a female Amilobe who will be a year old in August and a Male Amilobe that turned a year in may. The stand I built myself with the drain system. These two are about...
He will need panacure, I dont know the correct dosage offhand but I have seen it in previous threads. I lost a cham last year from these, it is serious.
I don't really swap out feeders that much. I use superworms and roaches almost every day. Ill get others (crickets/silks/hornworms etc) sometimes for variety because they get bored with the same food.
Misting: Just get a misting system, put it on a timer for 3 times a day, 10 minute...
Ive had terrible luck breeding Silkies and have heard others had the same issues.
Superworms are next to the easiest staple for me next to roaches. Very little maintenance and easy to breed.
I use a big 30 gallon container with egg cartons for housing. Throw some dog food in with the occasional fruit/vegetable. I spray mine every night with water, in some places with high humidity mold may be an issue, but its dry here so not really a problem. Also a heating pad under one side...
I recently had gotten a solarmeter and read that as long as they are receiving 5-15 on the reading that they were ok. I keep mine at 10. Ive had my bulbs almost a year now (Zoomed 5.0) and they havent shown any sign of weakening yet.
This happened to me this week. I got 1000 cricks, 1/3 of them showed up dead. I bought some Kale and tossed it in. within 24 hrs 90% of them were gone.
Ive never had issues with oranges though, that usually what I feed them.
I did this last week experimenting. I had a bowl full of maggots that I thought were dead, threw them in the trash. 2 days later i picked the trash lid up to throw something away, about 300 flies blasted into my house.
I threw them away just because keeping flies turned out to be a huge...
I haven't seen any other symptoms yet. She "seems" ok. I dont have listerine but was reading peroxide works too? Would like a second opinion before I tried that though and Ill try cleaning it up a bit. I also still have some antibiotics....
I took a couple pics, though its still kinda hard to see it. But her upper lip has raised on both sides of her mouth so you can kind of see her gum area when her mouth is completely closed. Just wanted to know if this is a red flag at all and what to do with it. Her appetite is very random...
I think it depends on their personality. My female is so docile, she will sometimes run to me. So she isn't stressed out if I carry her around sometimes. However my Male is horridly anti social. He stresses when he sees me 20 feet away. I basically wont handle him to save him the...
