Ya, same situation with mine. She hasnt been eating. The other day I got her to eat a Phoenix worm, then after that it was like she remembered how to eat. So she zapped a butterworm and superworm out of my hand.
But the next day it was back on strike. Maybe the cold weather....who knows
I'm wondering if it did have something to do with the whole breeding thing. I don't really want to breed her yet this young even though I was planning on it.
I dust 6 days a week
mon and thu - herpavite
tue and fri - rep cal
wed and sat- d3
Cage is 24x24x48
She used to hang out in her basking spot as normal now this morning shes towards to bottom on the screen trying to get out. It wouldn't surprise me if she is calcium deficient with no eating or...
Ok so, I have this female Amilobe who's coming up on 6 months. Ive had her for 4. For the first 3 months she would eat like a pig. Literally running to me in the morning and eating out of my hand. About 2 weeks ago she shed and became receptive. she also found her way out of the cage when I...
I actually put the moths in a petri dish so they can lay eggs right in it. Once theres about 500, ill put them in a new dish.
The baby worms aren't the greatest food finders in the world so you need very small chunks of chow spread evenly in their dish. Feed them everyday at least the first...
Ive had this happen a couple times. Just talking to my so called reptile vet for a few minutes convinced me i knew more about chams than they did. They may know a lot about reptiles in general so they're not completely faking it, but Chams are unique compared to most others imo.
I ordered a lot from LLL and never had issues. Might want to check with them
Also, reptilefood.com is quite cheap as far as crickets go. But you can get good deals if you look at the usual spots. Mulberry farms and http://www.wormman.com/ you can try also.
I got the same 1000 order from mulberry a month ago and still have a lot. I used the 3 plastic drawers that cost like $16 at Walmart. I did have an issue with lots of the getting out at first but I think thats because I put too much oats in the bottom making it easier for them to climb out...
I use the flipping method also, but as you said there are stragglers. I use a soft paint brush to brush them down and drop them on the bottom. I find the first two weeks somewhat annoying because they're so small they're easy to kill if you drop food on them or try to grab any of them.
They like to stay hidden all day and night but at night more and more will come out. They actually make noise running around. I only hear them at about 3amish
My mealworms and superworms live in a bed of oats. Nothing wrong with gut loading with it. Just make sure they get fruits/veggies for hydration preferably fresh greens
