Hi, I wanted to always have some backup food available for my two chameleons and wanted to get a Zoo Med Fly Napper but this product is discontinued. However it's for sale on eBay but I'll get it next month with I'm good with $$$$. I ended up getting something way cheaper from amazon, I...

Why is my baby chameleon spotted?

You can spend hundreds on a Chameleon setup but you don't have to. You should go online and order them but in your case go to the nearest petco or petsmart when you get back. You can get a screen cage bundle for $120 (that includes the screen cage, lights, feeders, vines) or you can get a...

Handling panther chameleon and when? attitude problems, etc...

I have maybe 6 weeks old Panther Chameleon. I want to start hand feeding him and start handling him. I read somewhere that you should never handle a baby, they are fragile and yo shouldn't stress them out. He did however was welcoming, he reached out to me, esp. fingers-- he did come and...

    Chameleons can SWIM? YES!

I didn't know that they can swim. When I first bought my glass/screen cage the bottom of the cage was all solid metal-- so I put 2 fountains in the cage and one of the fountain caused a 2 inch flood at the bottom of the cage. I was afraid my 3 months old Chameleon would drown-- however I was...

    Handling baby Panther

^ he is that exact size: not sure how old he is-- these idiots at Petco know how to sell you one quickly but they don't know his age? wow-- anyways. I'm hoping someone can tell me or give me in idea of how old he may be. Is it wise to handle a baby panther chameleon? Will they get stressed...

    Seven Weeks With Claudia

wow way better before and after-- I can't believe they do that at Petco. They said at petco said they always leave small meal worms in the cage 24/7 as their policy as well as giving them crickets. I can't believe how small some of the cages there are-- sometimes these chameleons stays there for...

    Seven Weeks With Claudia

I thought having a feeding cup wasn't a good idea-- i made one just like you-- especially when you dust their food all the white stuff goes all over the cage its better to have a feeding cup. Isn't it better to let the crickets loose so the Chameleon gets exercise; it's better to let them hunt...

Dubia roaches vs. Crickets? major pain in the a**

Hi nightahole, I ordered 50 dubia roaches just to try it out from Dubia Roaches I believe they are one of the sponsors on cf/here. I also got 10 adult females and 5 adult males; I think what they sell won't reproduce, you have to get the ones you can sex. I really hope these produce a...

Dubia roaches vs. Crickets? major pain in the a**

Hey Carlton, you're right. There is no way Petco would have given anything for free. I realized that must be the case. I also think I mist of crowded them. I will start a Cricket farm- its easy to start. Haven't done it yet. I'm about to go to Walmart today to pick up few large plastic lid...

Dubia roaches vs. Crickets? major pain in the a**

I got really lucky last week. I went into a not so busy petco and got 100 crickets, the sales rep. ended up giving me 200 to 300 of them-- I got very lucky, but it's really hard to keep these crickets alive and the noise is killing me. I'd say 1/3 of them died, i have them plenty of liquid...

Panther baby brown / basking duration

Hi, I picked up a baby panther Chameleon- attached is the size of him- sometimes he will be a very light colour and mostly just dark brown. I usually turn off all the lights for my Veiled at night and turn it back on in the morning. Does the baby Panther need more basking light? leave it...

    new baby chameleon

My advice would be food. The best thing would be for you to do is breed fruit flies. They are extremely easy to breed, here is how You want to feed it what its supposed to eat or whats suited-- your cham is adorable. Hope she turns out well and friendly.
