I ordered my Veiled from LLL reptile which i got on Wednesday. The high here was 30 and the low was 15. I was very worried all day. The Fed Ex guys truck broke down so instead of him getting here by 12 which was the original time scheduled he got here at 6 at night. It was about 20 when he got...
Thank you everyone
I stopped using tweezers and started just feeding him out of my hand. He really doesn't mind me at all. I think it's because he knows i have his food! I let a couple crickets browse in the cage and i couldn't see them in 10 minutes so i'm assuming there all gone! I have a...
It's morning here, we just got him to actually come to us! He hasn't found his feeding spot so i got tweezers and got some small crickets out and started feeding! He ate 8 this morning and i plan on feeding again tonight. He is doing really well and very active. He is drinking frequently and...
i have the linear one, 5.0 going across the enclosure, then the basking light as well. I'm using all the calcium of different types as you explained. in another post i posted the entire enclosure, but since then it has changed up. he is sleeping right now so i don't want to disturb him but here...

I've had my cage set up since Thursday to make sure i have all the humidity, temperatures, plants, climbing stuff, crickets, supplements and everything else you could imagine, haha. Should i feed him right when he gets here or kind of let him chill out to get adjusted? I have plenty of crickets.
I'm getting a 3 month old Veiled tomorrow fed ex from Cali. What do i do when i get him??? I've only received tortoises in the mail, so a cham is new for me. Help!!!
Well, with Sulcatas, they don't need humidity and plants. I give them fruit and Tortoise bites. I'll take a picture of my enclosure i got set up for them tonight. I'm getting a 3 month old cham on Wednesday but he'll be on the other side of the room!
I got a thermo gun that i use for other purposes that'll work. It's only about 80, 81 right now. I'll continue to change it. I added another plant to maybe keep up the humidity. I plan on letting him free roam during the day when i'm here to get a feeling of where he'll like to go.
I'm going to just get a small dish and see if he will eat like that for a bit. I also have meal worms from my box turtle that he can eat too. I don't think i'll be able to get a shower curtain around mine, it's kind of small. I'm going to keep playing with it and see if i can get up the humidity...
I'm also having a problem with the humidity. RIght now i have an umbrella tree in there with a dripper going. I have a little moss in the back corner covered by leaves off the umbrella tree and fake leaves. I've been thinking of getting a pothos and using only water with it because they grow...
alright that sounds good. So, feeding him crickets.. How should i do that? I don't want to just let them loose until i know how many he will eat and everything. My idea was to get a small critter cage and put some in there and watch him eat. I also am having a problem with keeping high...
