Id say if you got over 6 years, you were a good parent, especially for a female, they seem to live a little shorter lives.
In the wild they only last a year. Hatch, eat like crazy, and lay eggs before the dry season hits. If you live long enough to see your own eggs hatch, you are the 1-2%.
Just keep track of hot spots. I would also angle it vs straight down. This creates and ellipse instead of a round hot spot. If you noticed in my pics either the bulb is angled or the cham/stick is angled.
the fillout police should be here any time. About the only new info you added vs OP is "100w heat lamp & arcadia shadedweller 300mm 8watt 7%uvb, 17%uva".
That is way too low for a cham. Its just a 7% T5 non HO. its mean for geckos/anoles in short tanks. Not tall cham cages. Ideally you...
Id say its too hot, or doesnt have a good cool spot. And there is no place to hide. Your little guy might be one of the ones that want "here is my pet bush" that may or may not have a chameleon in it.
Or in my case, simply moving the cage to next to a non sun facing window fixed it. The...
Is that a bug zapper? or worse a UVC sanitizer?
Over all looks good. My crew would want more window looking out vines.
Uhh charlie has some edema starting, its why the eyes and the throat look like that.
For me its room temp. a 39 watt is the same as a 60 watt normal bulb, and a 50 watt is the same light output as a 75 watt. And they have built in reflectors.
So honestly the best option might be to just get the 50 watt and move it farther away. This would increase the heat area.
Here is a...
no..
I run these, either the 39 or 50 watt depending on the cage. they are a bulb in a bulb, so pretty splash proof.

That plant light is going to make everything look blue/purple.
Just about any incandescent (or better halogen) will do. It doesnt need a lizard on the box. The only concern is the beam angle and heat spot is the same. Ive gotten 6 packs and some are brighter than others. As Elizaann2 says...
I just do it so i dont end up with two crickets falling in love, and ending up with a sea of pinheads. Some people get grain mite invasions, i get cricket pinheads...
And wood chips in soil is nature's water sponge. Much better than water crystals or vermiculite.
The reals answer is just large stones on top of soil. Mmmm dirt....
Some even list "High UV -A" or LOLZ 2% because they legally have to say it puts out something. And they look really close to their metal halide UVB bulbs.
Ill throw my hat in for the edema. Just remove all supplements but calcium for a month, and see if it goes away. Most chams are oversupplimented. Some can take it, some chams vit/min needs change over time and the year 2 supplement/sched doesnt work after year 4. I have had the fix as simple...
