It feels like my ambilobe panther has an infinite stomach. He is 4 months, small boy, but can eat non stop. Yesterday he ate 15 small /medium crickets and 5 SFL.
When i worked at a petstore the BIG beardies would eat like 20-25 (large) crickets.
How much should I expect him to eat?
yea i think that could def be stressing him out, maybe put something inbetween that blocks there view for a few days to see if theres a change in behavior?
Hes been pooping, eating, all on a regular schedule, 3.5 month ambilobe panther male. Cause for concern?
All his other poops/pees have been healthy looking. im kinda freaking out rn
I love seeing your journey with your new chameleon because Ive noticed all your posts are stuff Ive also noticed with my little guy! I noticed him doing little licks as he was walking and I was also quickly worrying lol. Feels like our little guys are going through the same things haha
Looks like a female, i would ask the breeder if you could exchange it for a male sinse thats what you have mentally and enclosure-wise prepared for, females do get gorgeous as well though!
Hey guys, so I have a 4 month old panther chameleon. I was just wondering what the temperature gradient should be at the bottom, middle, and top/basking area? Currently where is back is in the basking area gets to 81F, im just wondering what temps I should aim for in bottom and middle
Thanks!
Hey! So Im a little confused, I for some reason had it in my head the uvb and heat lamp were 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Is this just for uvb?
Currently I've been turning everything on at 8am and then turning it all off at 8pm.
Have I been doing this wrong? yesterday I saw his mouth open and...
Randomly walked past and saw he had his mouth open. He wasn't gasping for air though. I worked at a pet store and would always see bearded dragon thermoregulating by gasping, he wasn't doing this. Around 10 minutes before I sprayed his enclosure down. Currently Im doing a misting in the morning...
Im 90% sure your talking about the red bit that inflates a bit when they are eating or feeling threatened. Don't worry! A picture will show what it is, but if its what I suspect its completely normal. They do that to show who's "bigger" and while eating because their tongue is pushing on it kind...
My baby is a little older then yours, one day you'll just notice allllll the beautiful colours showing through, it won't be vibrant but now I am able to "imagine" what hell look like and OMG! SOOOOOO gorgeous:)
Omg agreed! I have a his camera feed setup so I can watch him while im watching tv and I always realize I just end up watching him instead fo the tv :"D I cannot believe I didn't know about this world before, they are the most amazing creatures I have ever seen.
I saw Chameleon academy say that them going a lighter colour is an extreme danger sign that they are over heating. Is the one in the picture a danger sign or just him about to shed?
Right after I left the room he went straight back to the basking place (I have camera). He's a new 3.5 month old...
