Only when Im giving them to much water. Generally a urinal smell come from over watering. I get this mostly with my bromeliads, but occasionally my umbrella plants can smell bad if I screw up on the watering.

Honestly if thats the lid, there isnt enough air flow. I use a mesh cut out on the top. I also dont use clear bins because they like it dark. Id put in a couple more egg crates, but for 200 thats pronably fine. My guess, not enough air flow.

I did the same. I eventually took out my full throttle feeder and the little cup I was putting them in. He'll only eat them if theyre on the mesh.
