    Hemipenal prolapse or something else?

    I saw my little 5 month old with a bright red fleshy object exposed, I am not sure what to think? It did recede and contract after he seemed to be putting pressure, I assume he was defecating. Is this common when defecating? Anything I should be worried about? Please see photo below:
