After 10 years being furless and in grief, we pulled the trigger once again and completed our family with furry friend. After a few weeks of waiting she finally arrived our little Foxy Lady, Hiyori Hana 🥰
Hana is a 4 month old Akita Inu, she just arrived after 48 hours lonely travel towards us...
Almost 4 years in our care and living +3 years in her beautiful kingdom free range tree, I can’t express how much we still love her. From all species we own or owned, the Veiled still shows most character (okay the K. Boehmei, equals it).
Bella we love you 😘😘
I saw following kit today at a local store and it gave me a big smile! It looks like things are slowly changing in reptile world in the benefit of the reptiles, but also the keepers (spending your money only once for the right things).
Hopefully I’m seeing such kit for chameleons as well soon 🤞🏻
As I'm seeing many posts lately about how to make your screen enclosure bioactive and more naturalistic, I want to highlight a blog about it which goes into details with a gear list.
Maybe it could help someone, also included a fogging system modification. Have fun reading...
Inside my only enclosure, the rest are free range setups, I’ve planted one pothos at the bottom in the bioactive soil. It will take almost a year before it’s fully established and thriving, but once it does you’ll be amazed about its growth and naturalistic appearance. I can only promote this...
WOW, I'm really proud at my boy Ranjo, he just turned 4 today. This is considerably old for a Kinyongia Boehmei and this fellow still goes strong. He's scaring us already for almost year with sometimes behavior that he's sneaking out on us, but he's doing great so far 🥰
Congrats Ranjo you're...
Today we received something special, all from the States to The Netherlands.

3 years ago when I still needed to learn so many things to gave her the best...
I’m reading some posts about our girls laying and their lay bin. Thinking about our girls in the wild, never digging that deep as our our girls in captivity and mostly close to vegetation. Plus seeing my own girl who lives free range and bioactive, who also never digs extremely deep and she...
Just expanded the playground for the free range section, damn those chams cost me a fortune🥸, but worth every penny to give them the best possible life 💚
(Make the office once more workable 😏)
I always kept place for one more chameleon and that needed to be the most common one, a panther. But, I did want a non common local and always checked stores for their stocks. The last 2 months I was eyeballing to one, he's now 5 months old, born and raised the first 3 months in a German zoo...
Needed to trim back some plants in Neo’s enclosure, because they were taking up all light for the lower based plants.
And this was the king of leafs and probably would fill a normal enclosure 😱😱
It´s now exactly 2 years ago that our beautiful girl Bella came into our life. At that moment a first time chameleon keeper, with the necessary beginner mistakes, till a full grown full time free range beauty with 5 successfully laid clutches.
We love you Bella and thank you for being in our...
We’ve seen social media popping up negatively last time, but sometimes it brings up something good. Found some interesting enclosure builds by one of my IG friends. After speaking to her she shared some information/ website and it’s interesting and inspirational. Yes, it’s all written in German...
Finally, our prayers have been heard and the first movement within the industry is a fact. After seeing a certain interview, I got that gut feeling @DeremensisBlue has something to do with it??
Now only ditching the old death trap kit from the assortment and supplying the new one with an XL cage...
After listening to this amazing podcast about Isopods from Chameleon Academy https://chameleonacademy.com/s7-ep33-isopods-for-your-bioactive-enclosure/ I was thinking devoting a thread about it would be really informative and joyful, as more and more members are starting with bioactive setups...
