he must have thought it was water im guessing. his colors were extremely bright after he drank it though so i think he enjoyed it.
its a jackson chameleon.
i put a little saucer of applesauce in my chameleons cage to see if the crickets would enjoy eating it. i turn around to go to do something and when i pass back by in like 5 minutes, my chameleons down at the saucer lapping up the applesauce. is this ok?

i ordered some pinheads that will be here (hopefully tomorrow). got him to eat a baby house fly i found outside in the screened in porch. put 2 harmless spiders in his cage and 1 is gone. he sure does drink alot ha
my sister bought a "3 month old veiled chameleon" off of a website and to her suprise (this morning) it appears to be a 2-3 WEEK old...based off pictures i can see. local shops dont sell pinhead crickets and i wont have a shipment of them in hand for 3-5 days. what are around the house insects...

i know the photos arnt extremely clear but just from what you can see are those tiny bumps of any concern? health seems to be in excellent condition...very active during the day...nuzzles up in his fav corner of the enclosure at night...eats multiple times daily...recognizes his fogger...very...
he did eat 1 spider. i just dont like putting spiders in the cage because of a phobia of the spider getting out...reproducing...etc etc.
wish mantis wernt so expensive...id love to have some roaming around his cage..
