Glad she got better... How is she doing now after all the treatment and recomendations? Just a little question.... Did she stop eating properly due to mucas build up in the mouth etc from the Respiratory problem? Has anyone else experienced this and had to feed theirs by hand?
Thanks.
Sorry to say guys but after taking her to the vet and getting her a labour inducing drug and calcium injection, she became very weak and passed away. She actually gave birth to three eggs after the treatment so it seemed that she didn't lay all of the eggs all in one go! I managed to hand feed...
Doesn't that depend on the size of her though? No way is she fully grown! She dug right to the bottom and seemed ok with it. I think it was just because the sand wasn't moist enough and she couldn't dig deep enough!
I've come home today and she looks quite dehydrated as her eyes have sunk in a...
Good news.... She ended up laying around 20 eggs after she had been digging for just over a week! The container is around 7 inches deep and was filled with sand I bought from the pet store especially for reptiles! I kept the sand moist each day as it seemed to dry out quite quickly with her...
Species: Veiled
Gender: Female
Age: 7 Months (Approximately)
My Female Veiled was showing different signs which suggested she was due to lay her FIRST clutch of (infertile) eggs sometime soon so I went through with the normal procedure from what I have read and put in a pot full of sand to...
Just read a similar thread about a male vieled but luckily my Female isn't as bad as that!

For some strange reason she's started to act a bit wierd! As she walks along the vines, branches or logs it looks as if she's having trouble with her sense of direction! Everyone knows that Chameleons walk slowley most of the time but she is taking extra time and making several attempts to try...
The Container is about 9 / 10 inches deep! She isn't showing very dark colours yet but close to it! Does this mean she is close or just on the look out for a mate? If so, should I put her on a diet? She's quite big I think!
I think mine's ready to drop anytime soon! (Unfertilised eggs) I've had her since end of July and she was about a month old then so she's nearly 7 months old! Over the last month she's been showing some very interesting colours I've never seen before. This must mean she's sexually mature but I...
I wouldn't trust the shop owners! To think they have to know everything about every pet! Surely they do not know everything about every pet!! Refer to this forum and books. ;)
Mine does aswell! Not too sure why he does it but yeh she snorts sometimes. Maybe a sign that she's a bit nervous or distressed! I don't normally handle her for long periods of time especially this time of year as it's cold. I've read many stories of chams scratching at glass and trying to get...
That's great. Thanks for your help. The pet store I got her from was more interested in selling her and making money I think! I seem to get different info from alot of sources!Always best to find out more info from a forum! Cheers ;)
