No-the nearest reptile vet is almost 50+ miles away, over a mountain ridge...ugh. And I don't know if my local vet could do it.
ANd I'd be nervous to treat them...I've heard that it can go wrong in big chams,I can't imagine in such a little thing, how would you even get it to open it's mouth...
unfortunately I don't know how old they were or if they were cb, or wc. I suspect wc, after doing some research into the store.
I will not be getting any more at the time-I am just too busy with nursing school (i am so glad this all happened on spring break, i would not have been able to...
Their mate, naughty britches still lives **knock on wood**
They were in the same cage- they WERE pygmy's after all. I had another male, and he passed in early january.
:(
:(:(
So last night, little gal, my little brown female pygmy passed:(
Causes are unknown, but I think it is that she never recovered from laying her eggs.
While, today my other female, Mis. Cham, passed. i think she was egg bound- she was huge. SHe had laying material and everything...
:(
I don't know why. she was fine, then this afternoon I found her on the ground of her cage, cold and stiff. I tried warming her up, but nothing happened. I think she just never recovered from laying her eggs- she had just laid 4. She was a pygmy. She was my favorite:(
are there any holes in walls, or anywhere that he could have gotten into? start looking high-fans, curtains, behind furnitature, under couches, boxsprings of beds-if there are any holes in it.
I can feel your pain. this summer my kitten vanished. we could not find her anywhere in the house...
my main worry is that were I live petsmart and petco carry chameleons. Petsmart always has at least one veiled in stock, and petco has 4 to 5! :0
This worries me because they are just babies, and the employees at my local stores aren't that good at informing potential owners.
all i'm gonna say is this
THE STARFISH POEM
Once upon a time there was a wise man
who used to go to the ocean to do his writing.
He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.
One day he was walking along the shore.
As he looked down the beach, he saw a human...
ok maybe i'm being paranoid... but is anyone else worried that this is going to lead to a boom in the want of reptiles, chameleons in particular?
All that I can think of is the 101 Dalmatians craze, where EVERYONE wanted a dalmatian.
I am even more worried learning that petsmart has a deal...
she is a pygmy female. She is not burying her eggs. she has coco dirt stuff in her cage, the whole bottom has at east 3 inches of the stuff. one she just laid on the bottom of the cage, the other on the leaf of her pothos. why???
and the eggs don't look right either. they look pinched. whats...
holly craoky!! that was in him! no wonder he colicked. i'd feel poorly if i had that in me too:D
well good luck with him, i know that it can be hard when a beloved pet is sick. Just keep your spirts up!!
