Can you post what you are using for a base from Homedepot or lowes. I am trying to figure out what it is but I can't :p. it looks cool and looks like a black tarp for covering your roff when damaged.
I would be cheaper to make your own cage from scratch then let alone remodeling the cage you are attempting. I would not do it and nor would I think it would look good. Just build or buy a reptarium :)
I got 2 Cham's when I was 12 both where WC Jacksonii Chameleons
Jack and Jessica. Jack died at 5 Jessica died at 6 then we moved from Hawaii to Mississippi
But I didn't know anything about gutloading and such and didn't have to worry about UVB bulbs and basking lamps because they where...
Good God... Do you people sleep :P I am at work but geez. I guess you need to be up 24 hourz to get to 8K posts

You might need to explain to him because if he looks at the pet stores they all have "Night Lights" that are either red or blue or any color.
All you need is a UVB Lamp and Basking Lamp. Most petstores now have a 2 pack that has both.
I am in the same boat but for my cricket colony. My first one ever and I don't want these batch of crickets to die while I'm gone because they didn't get enough moisture. I sprayed it down pretty well before I left but 8 hours at 85 degrees is a long time :p
However I did enjoy this read but the original topic was about crickets stinking and how to care for them in the cage :P
I went to Home Depot, took the lid off from the second bin and but a rectangular/squarish with different degree of corners :P Its not perfect but will add ventilation. Is...
