I've had Dubias for a few years now... but I have ended up with them as pets and never use them as feeders :rolleyes:
They are such hardy and sturdy wee beasties that they take very little care and still keep going - although this isn't ideal obviously and wouldn't make for good...
We got 3 babies, 2 female 1 male, from a breeder and they were all the same age. After 2wks we took one back as it turned out to be 2 males, 1 female. The babies that he still had were half the size of the one we took back - and that was after just 2wks of being housed in a much smaller...
Try to get hold of a dimmer stat - we use one with our Beardy - it will dim any household bulb to keep the temps correct with the exception of those pesky energy savers :rolleyes:
With the Veiled's, they're in an exo terra and we have a clamp lamp which lifts the basking light off the mesh...

The eggs are safe where they are and I've got a temp probe set with them. I wont mind either way to be honest but it's always quite exciting thinking you might get babies. I know I got quite impatient waiting for the leos to hatch, and that was with knowing they were good!
Thanks Kinyonga - I will just watch them for a while. There's always things to learn that you'll never really learn until you've experienced them first-hand. It's quite exciting!

Yeah, they've been in a 2ft exo. They were so tiny when we got them, there was more than enough room. It was always the intention to house them seperately, I just never got around to sorting it until today :o
