Welcome to the forums! Screameleons is (so I've heard) a very good place to get a cham and they have good bloodlines. Chameleonsonly.com a.k.a. kammerflage kreations has AWESOME breeder chameleons and I plan on buying a panther from them in upcoming months :D check their website out just to see...

    Panther enclosure

Minimum size isn't a bad thing. But with chameleons enclosures the bigger the better. Outdoor cages that they can get natural light when weather permits is very beneficial to them as well

    Panther enclosure

And screen cages are best for ventilation. Glass works well also if you can keep the ventilation good. 36x18x36 would probably be good up untill about 9 months-12 months. Then a bigger cage would be good

    first time making an enclosure

Thank you for the quick reply and for that very useful thread. No home depohere but lowes has them for 1.24 I think for an 8 ft board. I went there already to check out what they had and bought some screening and glue. So next trip there I get the wood, screws, and hinges.

    first time making an enclosure

I've decided to make my own enclosure for my female veiled chameleon because it seems that she is a little bit to big for the 18x18x36 reptibreeze she has now. I'm about 2 hours into the planning and I have made 1/4th scale blueprints of the enclosure and it will be 48hx31wx19d(in inches) to fit...

So happy he got to go to a good loving home :D are you going to take him in to the vet after he acclimates to his new home?

    Screening?

Ya I just bought some aluminum screen that was I think 36" wide and 25' long for $20. Those 2x2x4 size cages don't seem to cut it for the largest size of cage that most places sell

Please give me the end all answer!!

If I were to try and keep two jacksons in the same enclosure I would make it two females and at least a cage that is 3x3x5or6 (in feet) jmo though

Please give me the end all answer!!

Jacksons give live birth, they do not lay eggs. They are possible to keep more than one FEMALE in a cage together as long as it is a big big biggg cage

    Flooding Issues?

i dont have pics but this is what i rigged up when my cage kept flooding. I drilled a hole in the plexiglass bottom, put a little tube through the hole then cut a little bit of a washcloth up and folded that in half, I stretched it so that it is under my plants like 3 inches away from eachother...

    plant/light question

Very true. I was debating on whether to get two of them and just rotate them one outside and one in the inside cage every week. Ill just wait and see how it does for now

    plant/light question

i just went out to lowes and grabbed a hibiscus and some soil to repot it in. But I was wondering if my uvb light would be able to work similarly to a grow light?
