Oh, I wanted to say. Actual larger sized eye hooks placed after drilling a pilot hole is likely sturdier. You could also use the type that is like a bolt and nut, for added security.
The bottom in that video is bare, and that's what I would advise. Those are actually cup hooks that have been bent into an eye hook, and they are just screwed into the metal frame of the enclosure. The large sticks I obtained from the woods, I'd then bleach them over a few days, and cycle them...
My favorite way, is to place some eye hooks in the top corners of the cage, and string 550 from them to a hanging basket. This creates a canopy type area. The long pothos bits get wrapped around the 550 to help hide them for practical and aesthetic reasons.
Let me clarify maybe. I of course would easily be able to find a veterinarian in a phone book or search. I'm looking to speak with one personally, that I may already have some rapport with especially. I seem to remember maybe Dana, or someone working as a vet in the area. I need to find...
Oy there people. Been a little while yeah?
I need to know if anyone here is a working veterinarian, or knows one in or near the Denver area. I would extremely appreciate that if so you reach out to me here, or at [email protected]
Hope everyone is doing just super awesome! Much love...
I should preface by saying Ive never used anything other than incandescent bulbs.
That is because Ive never seen a need to. The goal is to mimic the natural sun for basking purposes. It simply makes more sense to me for the heat to be eminating from a vividly bright light source. Said light...
Oh joy!:ROFLMAO: Oh happy day!
Dont warm the water. Room temp is fine. Just get the animal out of the box and in to the enclosure. Dont rush, just enjoy it and be careful. It should climb right into/onto something in the enclosure without much effort or waiting. Give it 10 min or so and then...
Totally normal reaction, especially at first. I wouldnt worry about the water temp. If you heat it, as soon as it becomes such fine mist, its going to realease that heat into the air and become quite cool anyhow. Make sure the animal has a place to get away from it if he likes.
That should be treated as a fr. Like a sealed room, no cats, you and others minding where they step ect. Can pose a lot of ossues, can have a lot of benefits. Look heavily at the thread jacksjill shared. Know the risks, know your surroundings.
Theyve arrived to me completely sealed without labeling stating contents, and in open sided boxes that only have screen mesh keeping 5000 crickets in, and everything in between.
Word on the street is, the more "fragile" "live animal" and such type markings a box has, the more prone that...
Imo...
No go yo.
Its going to depend on the species to be honest, but there is always a chance of ingestion, whether accidental or not. Some do/will eat vegetation/rocks/sand ect. at times. If theres a feeder on it. It could happen by accident when it is plucked off by the animal.
Its not...
You need a heat soyrce that mimics the sun. This means youll need an incandescent bulb. Youll need a temp drop at night, so as stated, put it on a timer. If you follow proper husbandry this poses no more issue than any other lamp you may have/that people have been using for 100 years or so. Make...
