I was just wondering if anyone could recommend the size (in inches) of heat lamp, the wattage, brand, etc. for a veiled cham w/ a mesh cage that is 24x24x48. Also, I was thinking maybe someone had a used one they could sell? I don't know if this exists, but is there a combo lamp that has all...
That is so funny! I do the same thing for my veiled cham! He's all hissy and grumpy, then I start singing/humming, and he'll walk all the way towards me. It still takes a stick to get him out, but that's really funny to find that other people use the singing technique - =)

Hilarious - thanks for that!!!:D I was just curious. I know my Tarzan can get grumpy enough that he hisses and lunges, but he's never actually bitten me. Thanks for the info.

Here Here, HerpLuv!! I would love people to start using it, such a wonderful tool. However, I still have problems getting onto the chat room period. Anyone know what's up? I know you're supposed to accept whatever it was that pops up, and I do, but the chatroom says there was a connection...

When I first brought Tarzan home, I put him on the couch while I made the finishing touches on his cage. Well, behind my couch is a gigantic wall of bamboo - I made a textured wall out of a roll of bamboo from Home Depot (ahh, I just love how being cheap leads to creativity - now, almost...
I know exactly what you're talking about. Tarzan makes that noise only when I handle him. It's like this vibrating growl or something, it's really weird. But, he's made it ever since I got him - I think it's normal. Then again, there are breeders and stuff on here that would know way better...
A hemm hemm...
Brad: of COURSE i didn't mean as a main food source, silly!! I'm just trying to spice things up a little more and I wanted to learn about something that could do that. ;)
LeLe - Thank you, m'dear. That actually helped a lot. And yes, I had confused the two. I think i...
Alright, folks. I know I've already posted a thread about superworms but I have some more questions about meal worms. Okay, so they've got this head that the chameleons "usually" bite off. How will he know that he's supposed to do that? What will happen if he does it wrong? Will the worm bite...
Yep, definately helpful These superworms were two inches long, and I'm don't think that would work. So, the chams are supposed to take the head off the worms before they eat them? What if he's never had one before? What will happen if he eats one w/ the head?
Well, I've found some superworms online and was curious to see what age is appropriate to give to my Veiled? he's about 8 1/2 months old. I'm asking b/c these seem a little large to give to him. So, yeah, anyone who knows, I'd be really interested to find out. Thanks!
DanielleB - I have come to the same conclusion w/ my veiled cham. He's just decided that he hates the being taken out of his cage w/ my hand, so I put his old stick in there and nudge it under his feet. It's a little more effort, but he's totally fine afterwards. :)
I have a chameleon and he's growing like a weed. I have a regular cage that I got from a specialty store, I'd say it's standard size for a smaller cham. But he's almost getting to be too big for it so I though it'd be fun to build one. And this one would be his permanent home, b/c I don't...
