welll.....i thought i was in the clearr and he was on the road to recovery. mr fred is dead as of the past hour. i have no idea what happened to him, he died in his sleep.
well turns out mr fred had MBD , and a broken leg(also why he hasnt been eatign or drinking) hes apparently broken his front leg, but its fully healed so no way to tell when it ha[ppened. its pretty bad, but since we caught it it can be fixed, i have pain meds, an anti inflamitory and some food...
well he fell again, but thankfully i prepared a bunch of paper towels, he was upside down when i found him, bu doing fine, decided its best i keep him with me for the remaining hours till we go see the vet
yea it was scary, but he actualy is a lot better, hes actually using his 4 mitts and climbing the mesh again, hes moving so much better its such a relief. time to call the vet! and yes they can do bloodwork and xrays all that good stuff!
so the pet emergency didnt specialize in chameleons, but my girlfriend said they checked for infection and a few other things, they gave him soem oxygen and soem heat, and she said he perked right up and was moving really well, the vet called me and told me they could keep him on oxygen and...
sometimes when he slept he curled it all up its something i never really paid attention to but i know he used to wrap it around vines and things while moving. the vet appointment is scheduled for 11 40 tomorrow, he seems to be hanging in there, i have some repti boost food supplement coming...
is this normal? i thought it was kinda funny, but i was scared at the same time. if he is healthy, how long would it take to see his ribs heal?
it also seems liek hes not really using his tail, i can move it around pretty much freely, he can move it a bit but i dotn see him using it on...
yes i actually think he did break his ribs, though would it be symetrical? it looks liek if he did he did it to both sides. he hasnt been eating so i crushed up some crickets added soem water and just a tiny tiny tiny bit of calcium and force fed him with a syringe, he actually seemed to perk up...
these are the foods, we also have a panther chameleon. she just recovered from a respiratory infection. why doesnt she have any of these symptoms? trust me our uv bulbs are less then 6 months, they burn out long before then. ive had this cham for about nine months and had no less hen 3 different...
yes i dust the crickets with flukers once or twice a week as in only the 10 that i feed him. otherwise all crickets are being gut loadeed with flukers calcium food.
dusting is usaully once or twice a week, and the crickets are gut loaded withfluckers high calcium cricket food i think. the light maybe 2 months old. as about the waterfall, just a coincedence that i switched him to the dripper and he got sick, or started showing symptoms rather?
the shed...
last picture, do you think he looks disproportional at all? and any idea what the dents might be calld? do you think superworms were the cause? i will defeinetly not feed him those anymore, we had run outta crickets and the pet store didnt have anything in and he didnt eat for a day so i wanted...
ive only witnessed a fall once. eating the last time i saw him eat, was probibly about 2-3days ago i fed him some super worms. as far as i know hes been eating crickets as they dont get up and walk away. his motion seems a lot better now, when i woke him up this morning, and i put my hand slowly...
yes it seems dented, its on both sides, thats whats scaring me what could it be? i read that chameleons go on the floor and look for water to drink if really thirsty. im not even sure if he fell tbh he went asleep on his branch and when i woke up he was on the floor , and seemed like he was very...
